A fine example of a martello at it's best. Nice to see these old buildings put to good use too
Visited on a cold blustery day in November. Located on the front near "Splash Point" and with plenty of nearby parking. Built inside a Martello Tower, with interesting displays of local history, archeology and local people. It's surprisingly large as they built extra space in what would have been the old moat. Definitely recommended. Top tip: see the video presentation of how the sea defences were rebuilt. Fascinating bit of large civil engineering.
Eclectic mainly nineteenth century collections of various items such as radios televisions vacuum cleaners Anna many others. Along with interesting local history as well as detailed information about the rebuilding of the sea defences in the 1980's make this a very good value attraction +2.50 for an adult)
Amazing place - so much to see in a truly Tardis space. Glorious views from top of Martello tower and lower floor quite staggering. There is a lift to basement area where there is most to see but not to top of tower. Also need to go down a few steps down to get to lift. Not sure if there is another access point for wheelchairs. But, if you can, really well worth the visit (and cheap too!).
Beautiful, serene place where people feed the wild birds with bird food which is specially produced and sold at small store in the nearby town. The wild birds makes the place even more special with strong winds and big waves crushing the pebbled beaches. We got there by bus from Brighton town to Seaford town. The beach is walking distance away from bus stop nearby Library, passing by the small store selling the wild bird foods. Lots of benches to sit but limited table if you plan to eat your lunch pack there. The Seaford Museum itself is closed for maintenance.
