Ive dealt with Shiners a few times Rogers very knowledgable and runs a traditional shop, Ive normally gone in and looked at the products door handles hinges virtually any iron mongerry you can think of and purchase then. Ive also ordered over the phone and had great help. Personally I like the traditional feel and knowledge that goes with it.
Rang to try to get some advice before ordering to check I was asking for the right thing. Super unhelpful and brusque person who said he couldn't give any advice, and it probably wouldn't fit, and when I said well perhaps I'd better leave it he said "OK" and put the phone down! Oh dear!

AVOID AVOID AVOID. I ordered some rod brackets from this company, it was a pain to order them as you have to telephone the shop and can't pay online. When I wanted to return them and order a larger size, Roger (proprietor) was really amazingly unpleasant. Told me it was not his problem, hung up the phone on me before I could arrange return details then wouldn't answer the phone for ages after. Took a long time to refund me, necessitating a further phone call, during which he also hung up. Finally got my refund. Take your business elsewhere and avoid wasting you time dealing with this remarkably obnoxious and unhelpful man.
